Rolling Out with Optimus Prime: My Transformers Prize Path Memories
Relive the 2025 PUBG Mobile Transformers collab and grab both Optimus Prime & Bumblebee mythic costumes via the Prize Path missions.

Some collaborations hit you right in the childhood, don't they? When the PUBG Mobile 3.9 update dropped back in July 2025, I was already hyped—but then I saw the notification. A full-blown Transformers crossover. I’m talking Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, the whole Cybertronian vibe invading Erangel and Livik. It felt like 2007 all over again, but this time I was the one holding the controller. The centerpiece of it all was the Transformers Prize Path, and looking back from 2026, I still remember every mission I grinded to complete that glorious battle pass within a battle pass.
You might ask, was it worth the 600 UC price tag? I asked myself that too when the event kicked off on July 18, 2025, and was set to run until September 3. PUBG Mobile had already spoiled us with Attack on Titan and Spider-Man collabs, so expectations were sky-high. I decided to dive in headfirst. The moment I unlocked the Prize Path, the main screen flashed with the Autobots insignia, and I knew I was in for a treat.
The path was structured across 25 levels. Paying UC only opened the gate; I still had to earn my stripes—or in this case, my Cybertronian armor. Missions were my battlefield, each completed task rewarding precious path points. A maximum of 7,150 points could be earned by finishing all missions, but I needed 4,800 to max out the path. Did I stay up late completing daily challenges? Absolutely. Was it exhausting? A bit. But seeing that Ready for Action emote pop up at level 1 gave me a taste of what was to come.

Level 7 handed me the Optimus Prime avatar, and by level 10 I had the mythic voice pack roaring in my ears. "Autobots, roll out!" became my new victory cry. But the real prize awaited at level 13: a costume choice option. I could pick either the Optimus Prime Costume Set or the Bumblebee Costume Set. I hesitated—who wouldn’t? The detail on Optimus’s metallic red and blue plates, the way the armor caught the light in the lobby, was breathtaking. I locked in Optimus, but the genius of this Prize Path was that I wouldn’t be forced to miss out on Bumblebee forever.
Level 16 gave me a slick avatar frame, and then at level 19, a Bumblebee backpack ornament that bobbed cheerfully as I parachuted into Pochinki. The second mythic voice pack, Bumblebee’s, dropped at level 22. Now I could alternate between the booming authority of a Prime and the plucky, energetic quips of the yellow scout. It completely changed how I engaged with squadmates. Imagine reviving a friend while Bumblebee’s voice reassures them—instant morale boost.
And then came the final hurdle: level 25. Here I unlocked the second costume choice option. Unlike previous prize paths where you might only secure one mythic outfit, this time I could grab both. I chose Bumblebee’s set, and my collection was complete. Two legendary skins from the same event, without spending a dime beyond the initial 600 UC. (Though, if you were impatient, buying levels outright cost a total of 4,800 UC. I preferred the grind—it felt more Autobot-like.)

Let’s talk about that Bumblebee mythic voice pack for a second. It wasn’t just sound clips; it was reactive to game situations. Eliminations, taking damage, hopping into a vehicle—each had a tailored line. I remember driving a Dacia across Miramar, and Bumblebee cracked a joke about off-road handling that genuinely made me laugh. How often do skins truly immerse you in a character? This did.

Of course, no event ends without those little conversion mechanics. Leftover path points transformed into lucky coins at a 10:1 ratio once the event closed on September 3. I also claimed milestone freebies along the way, which included Luck Tokens and Lucky Spin vouchers. It wasn’t a vehicle skin kind of prize path—no Cybertruck for us—but honestly, the mythic outfits and voice packs felt more personal. I was wearing Optimus, not just riding in something cool.
Now, in 2026, whenever I see someone rocking Prime’s gear or hearing Bumblebee’s laughter in a match, it’s an instant bond. We survived the grind of 2025 together. The Transformers Prize Path demonstrated that monetization doesn’t have to be stingy; if you’re willing to put in the hours, you can walk away with the entire Autobot lineup. So, the next time a major IP collab hits PUBG Mobile, I’ll be asking myself again: can I resist? Probably not. Roll out? Always.
